Ben is eight years old, his bedroom is plastered in pictures and news articles of the real life superhero Silverheart.

 

Unfortunately the marriage between his parents, Peter and Kate is falling apart. One night Kate is asked to leave by Peter, as a parting gift she gives Ben a comic book based on the exploits of Silverheart.

The next day at breakfast Ben and Peter talk. Ben wants to know why Kate left, fearing he was to blame. Peter is quick to explain that Kate is in trouble. Immediately Ben suggests that Silverheart would be able to help Kate. Peter dismisses this silly notion and decides to go to the park with Ben. But while reading the pages of his Silverheart comic book Ben begins to formulate a plan to get his mother back with the aid of his favourite superhero.

Save Me is a modern day kitchen sink drama combined with a modestly budgeted comic book movie.
